Melbourne lights at night

Take a look at beautiful Melbourne by night.

I love that Melbourne is the home of the Australian Open and there are a lot of other things that I love about this city too.

It’s a great place to live and Melbourne is a beautiful city, especially at night. I’ve really been appreciating it during the last few weeks while being back home between Wimbledon and the US Open.

Take a look at some views from the Yarra River…

The CBD at dusk - one of my favourite views from the Yarra River

The city viewed from Crown

Fairy lights in the trees

Another view of the fairy lights and Crown

The Restaurant tram

Flame time - these flames light up the Crown area every hour during the evening

Street art at Crown

More street art

The Melbourne Aquarium

View of Southgate

Southgate lights reflected in the Yarra River

That very Melbourne statue

View from the bridge near Melbourne Park

And of course I had to include Rod Laver Arena by night

Until next time

    Ohhh, so pretty!

Except for those Crown flames….they just make me mad. Every blast could heat a household for a year…such a massive waste of a non-renewable energy source when so many Melbourne families live below the poverty line….grrrrrrr!

    Thanks everyone for your comments.
And that’s a great point that you make Tash about how much energy is used on the flames.
