2013 US Open Tennis Prize Money

Check out the prize money (in US Dollars) for the 2013 US Open Tennis singles events at Flushing Meadows from August 26 to September 9.


Total Prize Money

Total prize money for the 2013 championship events is $34.3m including payments to players for per diem expenses and legends exhibition and wheelchair events. This is a 35% increase on 2012’s $25.5m.

US Open Series Extra Bonus Prize Money

There is also potential for extra bonus prize money ($2.6m) for the top three finishers from the US Open Series. As at 18 August Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams head the US Open Series standings. See full standings.

US Open Singles Prize Money (Men and Women)

Percentage increase on 2012 prize money and last year’s figures in brackets.

  • Winner $2,600,000 (37% – $1,900,000)
  • Runner-up $1,300,000 (37% – $950,000)
  • Semi-finalists $650,000 (37% – $475,000)
  • Quarterfinalists $325,000 (37% – $237,500)
  • Fourth round $165,000 (38% – $120,000)
  • Third round $93,000 (43% – $65,000)
  • Second round $53,000 (43% – $37,000)
  • First round $32,000 (39% – $23,000)

US Open Doubles Prize Money Per Pair (Men and Women)

  • Winner $460,000
  • Runner-up $230,000
  • Semi-finalists $115,000
  • Quarterfinalists $58,000
  • Third round $30,000
  • Second round $18,750
  • First round $12,500

US Open Mixed Doubles Prize Money Per Pair

  • Winner $150,000
  • Runner-up $70,000
  • Semi-finalists $30,000
  • Quarterfinalists $15,000
  • Second round $10,000
  • First round $5,000
