The Emirates US Open Series

The ATP and WTA hard court tournaments held in North America during July and August make up the Emirates US Open Series. In addition to tournament prize money and standard ATP/WTA rankings points, players also compete for US Open Series points.

At the culmination of the US Open Series tournaments the three men and women players who accumulated the most points earn bonus prize money for each round of the 2014 US Open they play.

The bonus rises to $1million for the winner of the US Open Series if they win the 2014 US Open.

The 2013 US Open Series Winners were Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams. As both Nadal and Williams went on to win the 2013 Men’s and Women’s US Open titles they each claimed a $1million bonus in addition to their singles winners’ prize money of $2.6million.
