The 2014 Australian Open is offering total prize money of $33,000,000 (approx USD 29,700,000). This is an increase of $3,000,000 or 10% on the 2013 prize pool.

Winners – $2,650,000 (approx USD 2,385,000*)
Runners-up – $1,325,000 (approx USD 1,195,000)

Quarterfinalists – $270,000 (approx USD 240,000)
Round of 16 – $135,000 (approx USD 120,000)
Round of 32 – $75,000 (approx USD 70,000)
Round of 64 – $50,000 (approx USD 45,000)
First Round – $30,000 (approx USD 27,000)
The total prize pool for Singles increased by 8% compared to 2013. The Winners and Runners-up get a 9% rise on the 2013 amounts. While players making the Round of 64 get an additional 10%, but those making Round of 32 only get a 6% increase on the 2013 figures the largest and smallest percentage change respectively.
Qualifying Men and Women
Third Round – $14,400 (approx USD 13,000)
Second Round – $7,200 (approx USD 6,500)
First Round – $3,600 (approx USD 3,200)
All prize money for each round of qualifying increased by almost 10%.
Doubles – Men’s and Women’s (per pair)
Winners – $520,000 (approx USD 470,000)
Runners-Up – $260,000 (approx USD 235,000)
Semifinalists – $130,000 (approx USD 115,000)
Quarterfinalists – $65,000 (approx USD 60,000)
Round of 16 – $36,000 (approx USD 32,000)
Round of 32 – $21,000 (approx USD 19,000)
First Round – $13,500 (approx USD 12,000)
The champions and runners up will be 9% better off in 2013.
Mixed Doubles (per pair)
Winners – $135,500 (approx USD 122,000)
Runners-Up – $67,500 (approx USD 60,700)
Semifinalists – $33,900 (approx USD 33,200)
Quarterfinalists – $15,500 (approx USD 14,000)
Round of 16 – $7,800 (approx USD 7,000)
First Round – $3,800 (approx USD 3,400)
The prize money awarded to mixed doubles players is unchanged from 2013 and 2012.
