Photos from the all French first round match between Gael Monfils and Lucas Pouille on Margaret Court Arena. Monfils won in 2 hours 48 mins 6-7, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-4.
It was an entertaining match of twists and turns, with Monfils seeming to have low energy during the first two sets, and then getting his bounce back in the third to ultimately win in five sets.
We had incredible seats with thanks to Grand Slam Tennis Tours so were able to get really close up photos. (Sorry we didn’t get more photos of Pouille though, I’ll be watching out for him at future slams this year).
