Barty and Dellacqua: A Smashing Grand Slam Doubles Team

September 6, 2013 By grandslamgal

A review of the Aussie pair’s women’s doubles fantastic performances at the 2013 Grand Slam tournaments.

Although they’ve only been regularly competing together in doubles since late 2012 Ash Barty and Casey Dellacqua have quickly become an effective team. This is even more impressive given Barty’s age (currently 17) and the limited number of tournaments that she can enter under WTA age restrictions.

Added to their impressive results this year which include making three grand slam finals, they’re both really down to earth and likeable, making them a great asset to Australian tennis.
