Rafael Nadal defeated Juan Martin Del Potro to win the Indian Wells Men’s Final 4-6, 6-3, 6-4
- This was Nadal’s first hard court tournament since returning from his injury induced break after Wimbledon last year
- Nadal has now won three consecutive titles since returning
- The win was Nadal’s record-breaking 22nd Masters 1000 Title, 600th win and 3rd Indian Wells Title
- Nadal will move to No.4 in the world rankings
- Nadal defeated Berdych in the semifinals and Federer in the quarterfinals
- To reach the final, Del Potro defeated Djokovic in the semifinals and Murray in the quarterfinals.
Nadal has withdrawn from the Miami Masters in order to be ready for the European clay court season.
