Roger Federer played in a tennis tournament tonight, for the first time since Wimbledon 2016, at the Hopman Cup in Perth.
Belinda Bencic partnered Federer to play for Switzerland against Heather Watson and Dan Evans playing for Great Britain. Switzerland had a clean sweep, winning the women’s singles, men’s singles and mixed doubles.
Roger showed great form and I’d say the work he’s done while not playing competitively had paid off.
