Today I went to the final day of the Roland Garros qualifying rounds.
The entry fee is 20 Euros for adults to get into Roland Garros qualifying and I think it’s well worth it, particularly if you’re a huge tennis fan and haven’t been able to get tickets for the main draw.
Granted it was perfect weather today with sunshine but not too hot, and the weather can always have a big impact on how much you enjoy something. But weather aside, going to qualifying lets you experience the French Open grounds while they are relaxed and not too crowded; other benefits are that you can see some great matches and top players practicing.
Unfortunately due to an issue with my camera’s memory card I lost the pics that I took of the matches that we saw, but here are some pics from around the grounds… and there will be more to come next week.
View more pics from Rafa’s practice session.
And also have a look at the qualifying results to find out who made it through to the main draw.
Until next time

Yes it was nice not to have to queue to get in or to buy food or to find somewhere to sit in the shade. Am looking forward to the buzzing atmosphere that the crowd creates when we go on Tuesday though.

what a good start to see the venue comfortably and with the weather almost as nice back home….

Qualifying is a good time to go, with a Rafa bonus!
