Defending champion Sam Stosur defeated Romanian qualifier Edina Gallovits-Hall 6-3, 6-0 in 60 mins on Day 3 of the US Open. The match was so fast we only got there for the end.
In the 3rd round Stosur will play 31st Seed Vevara Lepchenko from the US.
