Delightful Sights of Paris from the Hop On Hop Off Bus

May 29, 2012 By grandslamgal

Here some pics of beautiful Paris that I took on a hop-on, hop-off bus tour around the city on a few perfect sunshine-y days.

Lamp posts

The tour was with Les Cars Rouge.

You get great views from the open top of the double decker bus and you can get on and off at nine stops around the city.

What I loved is that you can buy a pass that’s valid for two consecutive days so it’s an excellent tour if you want to see the main sights in a short period of time, while still having time to get off the bus and walk around and soak up the culture. The two day pass for adults costs Euro 28 online, or Euro 29 if you buy tickets from the bus driver.

If you get the feeling from these pics that I’m a bit obsessed with lamp posts and bridges and street scenes, you would be spot on.

Eiffel Tower

It’s pretty cheap to go up the Eiffel Tower (by tourist attraction standards)

But the queue is long so we didn’t go up – I’m saving my queuing patience for Wimbledon.

The top deck of Les Cars Rouges bus is a great place to be on a gorgeous day in Paris

I also did a boat sightseeing tour along the the river. Stay tuned for more pics soon.

Until next time

It is an amazing this to do – luckily I’ve been up the tower during another visit, so I didn’t have to give up tennis watching time in the queue!

Queue or not there is no excuse for visiting Paris and not going up the Eiffel Tower

Hey Bern, yes I can’t remember being in Paris in more perfect weather.

It’s been incredible and it just started to rain now but it’s like in Melbourne when it rains after heat, the air feels fresh and enticing
